The ABC Player: here the player depends on strategies from the books on poker as well as from television. He is both aggressive at times and passive at other times. Often older players, above the age of 40, fall in this category. They depend on consistent wins through small pots. They are who quite exploitable since they rarely bluff and so make them very readable.

The TAG: These are the tight aggressive players. They do not believe in slow playing. They primarily depend on betting and are very aware of the surroundings and mount pressure on opponents and get their pots when they hesitate to continue because of the absence of a great hand.

The LAG: the Loose aggressive players with their fortitude for gambling, play more rounds and get involved with speculation. They are always aiming at the pots and wither their loss is moderate or their winning is great.

The Professional: these are the ones who have it all. They play any number of games, study when they are away from the table and have great experience. Motivation pushes the professionals and they have both skill and determination. They are full time players, who play for their living.

The FISH: These guys are easy to recognise since they do not have enough knowledge of the game and have questionable behavior and play. They may not be novices but regular players, who do not understand the elementary concepts of the game. “Sharks” are the very skilful players, who feast on the ‘fish’. It is not hard to exploit fish but some of them can be overly aggressive or sometimes too passive.
